About the insurance

Sanitas is the only company in Spain that has developed a special insurance policy for foreign students. This insurance fully meets the requirements of the Spanish Consulate for obtaining a student visa.

It is the only short-term policy with a minimum insurance period of 3 months, rather than 1 year as in other insurance products.

The student insurance has no waiting periods for medical services; it becomes effective immediately after issuance. The cost of the policy is advantageous and lower than that of regular health insurance.

How to Use the Policy

Using the policy is very simple! No out-of-pocket payments or waiting for reimbursements. You just present your Sanitas plastic or digital client card at the clinic or hospital, and receive medical care at any of the 1200 partner clinics or Sanitas-owned hospitals.

For complex procedures, you will need service authorization, which can be done in your Sanitas online account or with the help of your Russian-speaking agent, who is available every day.

Terms of Enrollment

Age of the insured: 14-35 years

The following documents are required in electronic form for enrollment:

Copy of the first page of the student’s passport;
Contact details for the contract (address, phone, e-mail);
Payment details (important, remote payment by card is possible);
Confirmation of enrollment in the educational institution (matricula) with study dates;
Residential address in Spain (educational institution) or where you plan to reside;
Height, weight, and a completed health questionnaire indicating any chronic diseases and surgeries if any.

Payment for the policy can be made by bank transfer or card.
